Our summer 2026 camp registration will open on Sunday, February 1 at 10 am!
Camp dates will be: June 15-19, June 29-July 3, July 6-10, July 27-31, Aug 10-14, Aug 17-21.

We are looking forward to summer 2026! Yet again, Michelle from Make Do Art Studio and Chef Fabi from Cookshop are joining forces to bring you a summer filled with creativity around the art table and in the kitchen. This will be the 10th year of Make Do summer camp and our 8th year hosting camps in collaboration with Cookshop!

One part of your child’s day will be spent cooking and baking with Chef Fabi in the kitchen and the other half is spent making art with Michelle from Make Do. We also spend time drawing in our sketchbooks, playing art games, reading books together and playing for an hour outside each day at a nearby park. During art, we will explore a wide variety of materials and techniques- everything from illustration, printmaking, watercolor, collage and more! We aim to complete 5 finished art pieces a week. We end each week of camp with a mini art show (and a treat baked by the campers) to showcase all the amazing work they have created.

Camps will be held at Cookshop (2625 SE 26th in Portland) from 9 am- 3 pm. Camps are for students entering grades 1-6. Campers must be at least 6 years old to attend camp. Our camps sell out quickly, so if a camp is full, please send us an email to add your child to our waitlist. If added to our waitlist, you will receive an email from Make Do if a spot opens up in any week of camp. The spot will go to the first person who registers on our website.

Parents will receive an email one week before their camp session with more information and details about the week, but feel free to reach out if you have any questions before then.

Each week of camp will mostly repeat the same recipes and art projects, so please keep that in mind if you are planning to sign up for more than one week. Also to note, if your child has any food allergies or intolerances, please contact us before registering to see if camp will be a good fit (all camps are suitable for vegetarians).

Cancellation Policy for Summer Camps:
Cancellations before May 1: Full refund minus a $75 non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations on or after May 1: No refunds.
