About our camps: Make Do Summer Camp 2018 is sure to be full of many exciting art projects, new art techniques, art games, friendships and maybe a dance party thrown in there too! Each week we offer a different theme that provides a foundation for our games, stories and projects we will work on that week. Our projects are tailored to our group of artists we have for the week. Every project we present to children is offered as an invitation to create, which gives children the freedom to interpret the project and play with new ideas. We value mixed-age groups, as younger and older children can learn so much from working side by side and collaboratively on projects. We encourage risk taking, play, collaboration, problem solving, and imagination in each and every activity we plan! We can't wait to create with your children this summer!
June 4-8 - It's All About the Process- SOLD OUT
10am-1pm $150 Ages 3-6
Come join us at the studio for a special week of camp designed especially for our youngest campers, kids ages 3-6 (children must be bathroom independent). If you love to create, get messy, and try new ways of using materials and tools, this one is for you. We will explore art making while painting, building, drawing, sculpting and weaving! Stories, songs and games will guide us through our art making week as the children prepare all their projects for their end of week art show!
Pro-rated days available for this camp only as we understand many preschoolers are finishing up their school year. 2 days: $70 3 days: $105 please e-mail makedoartstudio@gmail.com for your pro-rated invoice if you'd like to register.
June 11-15 - DIY Design Your Room
9am-2pm $265 Ages 6-10
Do you want to decorate your bedroom with awesome projects that you've made yourself? You'll love camp this week! From lanterns to wall hangings, pillows, name banners and more, you'll design the most awesome accessories for your space that reflect your personal style.
June 18-22 - Rainbows, Unicorns, Fairies, Oh My! SOLD OUT
9am-2pm $265 Ages 5-10
Do you believe in magic? Come celebrate all things magical at this camp! Fairy houses will be built, rainbow pillows will be painted, wands will be enchanted, and unicorns will find their magic as we create projects inspired by fairy tales.
July 16-20 - Draw, Play, Build (2 spots left)
9am-3pm $330 Ages 6-10
Love art and storytelling? Want to make your own games, books, puppets, and comics? Make your art come to life and share your stories at camp this week as we draw our own comics, build 3D puppets, create set designs, and make your very own board game!
July 25-27 - DIY Apparel design camp: 3 day workshop SOLD OUT
9:30-1pm $145 Ages 7-11
This week, we will discover the behind the scenes life of a fashion designer. We'll create our own mood boards, customize our own mini mannequins and create our own fashion accessories and clothing! You will learn skills to keep you making all summer long. Sewing, knitting, applique and more!
August 6-8- DIY Dollhouse (3 spots left)
9:30-1pm $175 Ages 6-10
Your child will completely customize their own wooden dollhouse, print wallpaper, build furniture, create characters, and sew accessories at this 3 day camp!
August 27-31 - DIY Design Your Room (SOLD OUT)
9am-3pm $330 Ages 6-10
